Pics from Palo Alto RTS
On Friday, May 20th, A reclaim the streets was held in downtown Palo Alto on University Avenue. The party lasted about an hour before people were dispersed by 3(yes, 3) different police forces from different cities working together. The entire downtown area was shut down to incoming traffic, and only a few arrests were made. Below are photos from the event.
Pic 1 shows cops trying to clear a dumpster from the street.
Pic 2 shows the newspaper dispensers which were used as blockades.
Pic 3 shows the party on University Ave.
Pic 4 shows some property destruction(property enhancement?) that occured at an American Express storefront.
This action was in all, a success. Resist - Think - Create.
