Not In Our Name activists held banners facing both directions over Interstate 80 on a pedestrian bridge near the Berkeley Marina from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Friday evening. The action followed up similar morning banner activities by the group.
California Highway Patrol told activists and media who were present
that they were not causing a slow-down of traffic, and would not be
asked to remove the banners.
Reaction from the roadway was loud and largely supportive.
Constant honking and thumbs up were peppered with middle fingers and cries of "get a job!"
