Following the "Books not Bombs" rally and march (Aug.8) and an overnite peace camp nearby about 65 people gathered at the lab gates and spoke in a ceremony honoring the late Father Bill O'Donnell. Seventeen people were briefly detained by the special response team of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory protective police division and released.
