SF, Feb. 17: ANTI-FREEDOM groups go to court
Dear freedom-seekers,
Today, Feb. 17, two anti-freedom groups will try to stop the historic San Francisco Marry-In.
They probably will succeed in getting a temporary restraining order (T.R.O.) against the City and County of San Francisco and its officials, preventing issuance of any more licenses to same-gender couples.
From Thursday thru Monday, 2,271 same-gender couples received marriage licenses in San Francisco, reports the S.F. Chronicle. Presumably almost all of these couples used their licenses promptly to get married, and then had the city/county officially record their licensed marriages.
While anti-freedom fascists may easily stop FUTURE weddings, they'll find it difficult to destroy these more than two thousand existing marriages. Who has "standing to sue" for annulment of a legally questionable marriage? The spouses, the parents of juvenile spouses, and who else? Just any uninvolved stranger who wants to intermeddle?
TODAY'S HEARINGS
I hope freedom-seekers will attend today's hearings, at 440 McAllister Street, near City Hall. The first, at 11 AM, will probably take place in Dept. 302, before Judge Ronald Quidachay. The second should take place at 2PM, before Judge James Warren in Dept. 301. However, court events often get delayed and/or moved, so you may want to ask officials, after you get to the courthouse.
Freedom until death!
