Who is killing the women of Juarez Mexico? Updated Release
You have a number of opportunities to see the powerful film, "Senorita Extraviada," from Feb. 3 to Feb. 9 in Sacramento and Davis. I saw this film at the event on last Tuesday and everybody, including myself, was very moved about the atrocities taking place in Juarez. Don't miss it!

Who is murdering the women of Juarez Mexico?
(Sacramento) Over the last decade hundreds of young women of Juarez Mexico have been brutally murdered and hundreds more are missing. The Mexican police and government have been unable, or unwilling, to put a stop to this ongoing atrocity.
On February 13-14, V-Day and Code Pink, two organizations that work against violence toward women and girls, will join with local organizations in Juarez for a series of educational workshops and a massive demonstration demanding justice for the victims and their families.
A coalition of local Sacramento organizations including Francis House, Peace Action, Women Escaping a Violent Environment (WEAVE), and the Zapatista Solidarity Coalition are hosting a series of events to raise money and awareness of V-Day activities in Juarez Mexico.
The bilingual events will feature the powerful film "Senorita
Extraviada" (Young woman missing) by Lourdes Portillo. Donations will be collected at the door to support delegates’ travel to V-Day events in Juarez, as well as support the local organizations working in Juarez to stop the violence.
