Bayview/Hunters Point Day X
Please Forward Widely - Southeast San Francisco Anti-War March: No Blood for Dirty Energy!
Join Bayview Hunters Point and Potrero Residents in a united action to oppose the war in Iraq, the degradation of our democratic rights, and San Francisco¹s biggest energy polluters for a march on San Francisco¹s Power Plants!
Meet at Hunters Point Power Plant entrance at 9AM the workday after the war starts (PG&E Power Plant - Evans Street @ Jennings)
We will then march 1.5 miles to the Potrero Power Plant down Third Street Some may continue on to join the masses Downtown!

How are Southeast SF Power Plants Connected to the War? Bayview Hunters Point has paid the costs of previous wars in blood. WWII era industries, located too close to peoples¹ homes, are polluting our city, destroying the environment, and STILL killing the community. By joining us in Hunters Point on the workday after the war starts, you will align yourself with the people on the front lines-at home.
Secondly, SE San Francisco’s Power Plants are our city’s symbol of the fossil fuel industry and its daily effects on our health and the environment. While many city leaders are trying to pave the way for renewable energy production in SF, state leaders are dragging their feet, and making confidential deals with large polluters. In the face of the largest energy war in history we are standing up for renewable energy right here. Join us!
