Nine Arrested at HNJ Squat

by Das Autonomen Squatter (hnj [at] sftu.org)
Nine arrested as 20-30 riot cops storm squat
While cleaning the entrance way for the opening of the front door to the squat later in the day we received word that the police were preparing to move in. As we sat calmly on the floor waiting for the police to enter the squat about 20-30 riot police swept the building going room to room, floor to floor. Later we were taken to the police station and cited and released. Overall the action has been a great success.

your tax dollars at work! see, we spend billions on militarizing the police so that they can send 40 people to arrest 8 peaceful concerned community residents. see why this money cant be spent on USELESS things like social services? we have to give social services to our police.

Sad but predictable, piggies side with property owners! Fuck the police! In Mtl, it took them 5 days before the city gave riot pigs the green light to bust everybody staying in the squated house on Overdale st. Then the mayor, the hypocritical mayor of Mtl lenghted a vacant building housing about 40-50 people now, in an effort to buy some social peace in the coming city elections.

I want to express my words of solidarity to the squatters of the 170 Fell st! I hope the fight for decent housing will continue in SF and in Mtl and everywhere else in N America!

Why are we busting people for using unused public property yet selling out our public parks to the highest bidder. They should take all the "profit" that Industrial Light and Magic will be making in the Presidio and build housing for homeless with it.

I like Nancy Pelosi, but she blew it on the Presidio. There's plenty of unused housing there too.
