Be wary of large-scale disinformation campaign regarding Nicaragua

by David Rubio
Various programs on KPFA and also regime-change minded liberals in the once-alternative media are amplifying the voices of self-anointed spokespersons for astro-turf protesters in Nicaragua who advocate for a violent coup. It's a scam with potentially massive death and other devastating consequences.
I can't believe my eyes and ears!! The Upfront program on KPFA and also Aaron Mate at RealNewsNetwork are amplifying the voices of self-anointed spokespersons for astro-turf protesters in Nicaragua who advocate for a violent coup. They also allow for little or insufficient chance for rebuttal. They can't win an election against the popular-elected leftist government that won the last nationwide election with 74% of the vote, because the so-called protesters poll at less than 5% approval nationwide, despite years of funding from the USAID, National Endowment for Democracy, and other supports and encouragement from an menagerie of neocons, like Marco Rubio and John Bolton.

Where are the spokespersons from the ELECTED government to point out the lies and to give the other side of the story? The last attempt at US sponsored regime change cost Nicaragua a devastated economy and 50 THOUSAND lives. With all the new technology and media control, and lack of transparency from external-funding sources, what's this one gonna cost? Someone should tell these provocateurs to stop gaslighting and recruiting young people to stage their soft coup and to just try to win the next election with their vision for improving society — if they have one. And enough with the dirty tricks that cause so much violence and suffering.
