'Polish Caligula' J. Kaczyński does not handle his country's situation

In fact, Poland-wide political crisis, the formal reason of whose radicalization became the next year's budget vote taken by the ruling Law and Justice Party's lawmakers not in the plenary hall of Poland's Sejm but in another place, had been long time brewing up.

The boundless obsession of the majority party's functionaries and Polish nation's leadership, enthralled by the influence of Jarosław Kaczyński (whose unstable mental health has been repeatedly covered in various data recourses), to overestimate and radically change the internal policy of the country starts resulting in reforms that bear no resemblance to democracy. Moreover, some people are even talking of upcoming dictatorship and authoritarianism in Poland.

And not only the very strange budget vote has become the main sign of that, but also a new bill limiting media freedoms, as well as amendments to the law on the Constitutional Court de facto having fallen under the control of the ruling party.

Poles perfectly understand where Jarosław Kaczyński's tricks lead them. That is why they are taking to the streets, revealing their negativity to his party's policy by all available means.

However, it is safe to say that from now on any public anger will be suppressed by the police, and protests are unable to change anything while Jarosław Kaczyński, who is now excluded from current Poland's government, rules this country although even from the look on his face it is obvious he has difficulty with understanding the world as to all seeming he has completely lost touch with reality.

So, we hope that the EU and US condemnation of current Polish authorities' policy will not only produce an effect, but also turn into their concrete measures to counter the practice of further concentration of power in the hands of, obviously, seriously ill person. You know, even former President of Poland, Lech Wałęsa, has called upon Jarosław Kaczyński's party to 'quit' before it is too late.
