§Grace Shimizu From Comfort Women Justice Coalition
by Labor Video Project
sm_shimizu_grace_japan_community_rally.jpg
Grace Shimizu spoke for the Comfort Women Justice Coalition about the attacks on all minorities, muslims, immigrants and women. The coalition has organized an international campaign to build memorials for the "Comfort Women" who were enslaved by the Japanese Imperial Army during the 2nd World War. The Japanese Abe government is seeking to censor this history in Japanese school books and denying that these incidents took place. They are also seeking to militarize Japan by eliminating and ignoring Article 9 that forbids foreign military interventions. The effort to rewrite the history of the war crimes is connected to Trump and some of his supporters who want to go back to segregation and support the Confederacy.
