Passionate Challenger Shakes Established Incumbent in West Oakland City Council Race

by Noni for District 3
OAKLAND DISTRICT 3 CITY COUNCIL CHALLENGER NONI SESSION ACHIEVE’S DUAL ENDORSEMENT
From Alameda County Labor AFL-CIO and the sole endorsement from SEIU 1021

The Noni D. Session for Oakland campaign announces endorsements from Alameda County Labor AFL-CIO and SEIU 1021, two of the Bay Area's most powerful organizations. They recognize that Session’s commitment to protect the jobs of working families and vulnerable communities in the city is exactly what Oakland needs to remain equitable and economically competitive.

Noni Session, a 3rd generation West Oakland resident, is shaking things up in the District 3 City Council race. Session’s vision charts a path for the community that will keep historic families in their homes, insure "development without displacement", keep residents healthy and safe, and facilitate access to living wage jobs for Oaklanders. Session’s priority is to protect diverse communities, the environment, and the city's rich culture. Noni will work to change the current political landscape for community benefit rather than the insatiable, big money interests that are currently controlling local government.

The campaign appreciates the following organizations and individuals for giving Noni Session their vote of confidence:

— Oakland Justice Coalition
— Alameda County Green Party
— John George Democratic Club
— National Union of Health Care Workers
