Expanding the Northern California Yoga Community ~ Free Yoga in Victory Park

The 3rd Anniversary of Free Yoga in Victory Park continues to expand the practice of Yoga throughout Northern Californian. The Stockton Yoga community is poised for expansion, embracing the lesson on detachment.
Stockton, CA ~ July 7, 2012, we started Free Yoga in Victory Park. My intent at the time was introduce Yoga in a nontraditional setting and grow the Stockton Yoga community.

Thanks to a little help from my friends, the Saturday classes expanded and eventually, I was even able to convince some teachers to come out to the park and teach classes.

What I did not expect was we were growing a community beyond the Stockton borders.

At the beginning of yesterday's class, our 3rd Anniversary class, I asked the students where they lived. I found out many of our students were not only Stockton residents but they traveled from Lodi, Manteca, Sacramento, Valley Springs and a few regulars who travel from the Bay Area to attend the Victory Park classes.

I realized Free Yoga in Victory Park is building throughout the Northern California Yoga community and who knows maybe eventually the global community.

Thank you everyone for teaching me the lesson on detachment.
