Celebrate the inauguration of the new president of El Salvador, Salvador Sanchez Ceren who was elected president of El Salvador on March 9. As a teacher and organizer of ANDES 21 de Junio (the teachers' union) he became active in fighting to win dignity and justice for the poor and marginalized. In the 1970s and 80s he joined the resistance to the oligarchy, moved to a clandestine life, and joined the FMLN. IN 1992 he was one of the signatories to the peace accords. Since then, he was general coordinator of the FMLN political campaigns and has been Vice-President of El Salvador and Minister of Education since 2009.
