Hungry Tides the new feature length film by Tom Zubrycki
is a portrait of Sydney based activist Maria Simon as she
works to draw attention to the plight of her Pacific Island
Nation Kirbati, which is already being inudated by rising tides .

The film follows Maria from a small Sydney high school to
the 2009 Copenhagen Climate Change Conference and
a year later to Cancun.

The Hungry Tides documents an ongoing struggle that is
both more complex and potentially more devestating in its
outcome.
