Whirl-Mart is a culture jamming event aimed at retail superstores that combines art, action and walking meditation.
This action is intended to show solidarity with striking Walmart workers.
The event consists of a group of people who congregate at a Wal-Mart and slowly push empty shopping carts silently through store aisles. Participants will not purchase anything and seek to form a lengthy chain of non-shoppers, continually weaving and "whirling" through the store.
Please wear a plain white shirt with no logos. We will meet in front of the Starbucks at 10 AM.
