Misdirected Occupy Movement
It does indeed appear that the local Occupy movement is misdirected. Their out protesting Bohemian Grove when there is work to be done here in SF.
For instance Mayor Ed Lee needs to be protested. He is still making a mess of the ordeal with Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi.
And the homeless shelters need to be protested with direct action.
Why? Because transgender people face violence, being outed, name calling and perverted shelter workers daily.
And the shelters are a mess, for instance the violent mentally ill need to be in hospitals not shelters. The disabled need to be in hospitals. Shelters are there for people to sleep, but the shelter at 1001 Polk Street is very loud at all times of the night and shelter workers do nothing.
The women who want to get their lives on track are forced to stick up for themselves against drug addicts and the previously incarcerated, so they to end up in trouble.
I could go and on, but the bottom line is that the local Occupy movement should represent the needs of the people and protest the shelter system with direct action weekly until our inept leaders correct the issues that encourage people to sleep on the streets instead of getting shelter.

§Misconception
I totally agree about the need for more direct action resistance against the homeless shelters in SF, but that in no way takes away from the importance of the Occupy movement's resistance at the Bohemian grove. Creating Food sovereignty is a key factor in breaking down the 1% dependence, monopoly machine.
