The Soulforce Equality Ride is a two-month cross country journey for LGBT equality through some of the most conservative places in America. The riders visit colleges and universities that openly discriminate and even expel students for identifying as LGBT. They have been faced with threats of physical violence, arrest, and even death. Last week, 5 riders were arrested in Colorado for trying to hold an LGBT inclusive Bible Study... Please attend or at the very least help spread the word to LGBT supportive people you know.
The Benefit will feature entertainment from Comedian Janine Brito, spoken word from LYRIC and the Equality Riders themselves.
