Pastors for Peace continues to challenge the crippling and brutal embargo against Cuba. A potluck dinner and program including music and the medical students who have been educated in Cuba. Don’t miss the opportunity to get a firsthand look at the changes in revolutionary Cuba & get an update on the courageous Cuban 5 unjustly imprisoned in the US. The bus caravans travel various routes around the US, gathering materials aid before they cross into Mexico and then on to Cuba. It has been a long tradition to have the Caravanistas at BFUU. We will remember the great legacy of Rev Lucius Walker who leader of IFCO, the Inter-Religious Foundation for Community Organizing, that has long advocated for the poor here and abroad. Lucius founded Pastors, one of the IFCO projects, after he was almost killed in the 1980s by the Contras in Nicaragua (http://www.ifconews.org)
