From Egypt to Bahrain and from Wisconsin to San Francisco

Poor and working people fight back, abroad and at home
PSL Forum and discussion, Friday, March 25, 7pm

The people of the world are in motion. From Egypt to Bahrain, a wave of struggle is sweeping the Arab world. The imperialist powers are trying to ensure that the new order in the Middle East conforms to their interests. The drumbeat for another imperialist U.S. intervention in Libya is getting louder every day.

Meanwhile here in the United States, public workers are fighting back against state governments’ union busting plots. Teachers and other education workers are fighting to save their jobs from attacks on public education. Public workers' jobs in libraries and health care are also at risk. Tens of thousands of workers have come out demanding that Wall Street, not the working class, should pay for the crisis that Wall Street created.

These events show once again that collective action matters. Join us for analysis and discussion of the uprisings in the Middle East, and how you can become involved in the workers’ struggle here at home.
