Oakland Masonic Center, 3903 Broadway. Wheelchair accessible; free parking; convenient to public transit. Time for lunch will be provided during the workshop, and participants will be given a list of several recommended restaurants within three blocks of the workshop location.

Educational nonprofit Bay Area Nonviolent Communication is hosting Dominic Barter. BayNVC has a restorative justice presence in San Quentin State Prison as well as the Sonoma County Jail. This 2-day workshop is being offered by Dominic Barter on a donation basis.

Developed in the shanty towns, schools, courts and prisons of urban Brazil, Restorative Circles are being used in a wide variety of contexts and countries, where social justice, group cohesion, resilient relationships and personal healing are recognized as interconnected and vital. Workshop presenter Dominic Barter has helped to implement ongoing Restorative Circle programs in 90 high schools, 8 youth prisons and 5 court systems in Brazil.
