Who CAN vote:
*Remind people that people who have completed their felony sentence, have completed incarceration/parole, CAN!!! vote! This is true in 37 states.
(we work to get all residents permitted to vote regardless of their civil status)
*Remind people that people IN jail CAN still vote. Their family/friend can take their voters' papers to the jail to be filled out there - they need to get the absentee ballot. Their address is either their home address or the P.O. box of the jail.
*HOMELESS PEOPLE CAN register to vote. They can show an address where they can get their mail - a shelter, or another accommodation. And they can show their 'residence' as the spot where they sleep, if it's regular.

People can ALWAYS register to vote. There is a time limit - two weeks prior to an election - by which they have to be registered in order to vote in a particular election. But registration is ALWAYS available.
Ask us for any help about that.

Peace and Freedom Movement and Party are membership organizations. If you are not eligible to vote but want to affiliate with us, you can join our Movement. Just let us know.
Peace and Freedom Party invites membership by non-California residents. That information is also available on our home page.
We are also engaged in organizing to put socialism on the ballot throughout the U.S. We urge people who want to see that happen to be in touch with our effort, called the National Organizing Committee, which has met locally to prepare for the effort for a national meeting, held 1Aug2009.
Added to the calendar on Wed, Sep 16, 2009 10:53PM
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
