Environmental Impact Report Public Healing for Helios/EBI Building 12/17/07
An Environmental Impact Report Hearing was held for UC Berkeley's planned Helios Building and the EBI (Energy Biosciences Institute) on December 17th, 2007, at the North Berkeley Senior Center. The building will be established with $500 million of Bloody Profits from British Petroleum (BP) and will be situated in the ecologically sensitive Strawberry Canyon which is already infested with UC pollution such as tritium. For more info, visit http://www.StopBP-Berkeley.org. There are two files, which contain several hours of public comment. Note that the audio volume is a bit low for approx. the first half of the first file. Also, on the first file, the beginning part contains UC Berkeley's propaganda statements, skip ahead to hear the actual public comments. Click on the files below to listen to them - MP3 format. If you want a high resolution version email matthew matthewtaylor net.
